Piano lessons

Are you looking for a qualified piano teacher that can help you improve your piano skills? You came to the right (internet) address. I am a piano teacher and concert pianist. I have been teaching for ten years and doing it with great pleasure. You are welcome to come for regular lessons or for occasional lessons to, for example, prepare an audition or concert.

Topics that will be discussed in the lesson are, for example, technique, musicality, interpretation, ear training and improvisation. We will work on how to make your musical ideas come alive on the piano. The lessons will take place in my piano studio in Amsterdam-North at the NDSM-Wharf. The lessons are taught on a good Yamaha grand piano.

As every student has different needs, wishes and goals, I would be happy to discuss them in a consultation lesson.

I have got two master degrees from Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In addition to teaching, I regularly give solo and chamber music concerts.

Testimonials

Ailsa, Scotland

Ischico is extremely calm and patient and is able to give clear explanations and provide solutions to any difficulties that I encounter. Being an accomplished pianist herself, she helped me express myself when I am playing opposed to just being able to play my pieces technically. I look forward developing as a performer under Ischico's guidance

Ewan, England

Ischico was a great teacher and helped build up my confidence as I was unsure how I would get on. She always recognises if you have put effort in with practising even if the results are not completely perfect. That gives you inspiration to keep practising. She is good at explaining technique and how to play but also the feeling behind the music which is also important.
